Product Description
SLU-PP-332 is a synthetic small-molecule research compound developed as an agonist of the estrogen-related receptor (ERR) family, including ERRα, ERRβ and ERRγ. Although sometimes grouped alongside research peptides commercially, SLU-PP-332 is chemically a small molecule rather than a peptide.
Estrogen-related receptors are nuclear receptors involved in the regulation of mitochondrial function, energy metabolism and exercise-responsive gene expression. Laboratory studies have shown that SLU-PP-332 can activate ERR-associated transcriptional pathways and increase mitochondrial function and cellular respiration in skeletal-muscle cell models.
Animal research has investigated SLU-PP-332 in relation to oxidative skeletal-muscle characteristics, energy expenditure, fatty-acid oxidation and metabolic signalling. Separate preclinical studies have also examined ERR activation in experimental models of metabolic dysfunction and age-associated mitochondrial changes.
SLU-PP-332 may therefore be of interest in laboratory research examining:
- Estrogen-related receptor signalling
- ERRα, ERRβ and ERRγ activation
- Mitochondrial metabolism
- Cellular respiration
- Skeletal-muscle biology
- Fatty-acid oxidation and energy metabolism
- Exercise-responsive gene expression
- Experimental metabolic research
Current evidence for SLU-PP-332 is predominantly preclinical, involving cell and animal models. Its safety and effectiveness for human use have not been established, and experimental findings should not be interpreted as evidence of equivalent effects in humans.
